ABOUT ME
Get To Know Me
History
I grew up in Victoria, with dance being the main focus of my life from the age of eight onwards.
In 2004 I sadly had to discontinue my dancing training due to a series of knee injuries. However, it was around that time that I was lucky enough to find yoga. I started out with some classes at my gym, and I soon became obsessed with how it made me feel physically, mentally and spiritually.
In 2009 I made one of the best decisions of my life when I moved to Thailand for a teacher training course @ Pyramid Yoga.
Inspired by all that I had learned abroad, I took another two year teacher training course with Victoria Yoga School when I returned to the island. I apprenticed with Michelle Rubin for 7 years, while my career grew.
I’m a big believer in life long education, so in 2018 I took a Stretch Therapy Intensive Course in Vancouver with Olivia Allnutt, as well as a Neurobiology of Trauma and Trauma informed Yoga Practices course in London, England with Alexandra Kat. Most recently I completed a 200 hour TT with Lara Heiman in the LYT method. Lara is a physical therapist and has transformed the way I see yoga practice forever (in an amazing way!!).
In my 10+ year yoga teaching journey I have taught 4 year olds, 92 year olds, and everything in between. Accumulating thousands of hours of real world experience in the process.
My goal is to make yoga, which I believe to be an act of self care, accessible to everyone, regardless of age or ability.
I offer corporate yoga, public classes, online classes, local and international retreats, a virtual membership and am available for private lessons (women or pre-existing students only.)
